Students of the PTI received awards at the 36th National Scientific Student Conference (OTDK)

The 36th National Scientific Student Conference was organised between 12-14 April 2023 in Hungary. Six students of the Protestant Theological Institute of Cluj-Napoca participated in this event. Three of them were awarded prizes, thus enhancing the reputation of PTI beyond the borders.


The 36th National Scientific Student Conference was organised between 12-14 April 2023 in Hungary. Six students of the Protestant Theological Institute of Cluj-Napoca participated in this event. Three of them were awarded prizes, thus enhancing the reputation of PTI beyond the borders.

In the Humanities Section of the conference hosted by the Károli Gáspár Reformed University in Budapest, Norbert Nagy, MA 1-year Unitarian student presented his thesis in the Old Hungarian Literature group, where the jury awarded his thesis with the second prize. The title of his thesis was "Theatre is the whole world" - The life of György Felvinczi at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. Supervising professor Sándor Kovács.

The Social Sciences Section of the conference was hosted by the University of Debrecen. At this event, two students from the Protestant Theological Institute of Cluj-Napoca were awarded prizes.

Eszter Nagy was awarded second prize in the Religion and Theology II group. Her thesis was entitled The early mother-child relationship and its impact on the spiritual development of the child and the adult in the light of attachment theory, with special reference to the ministry of the pastor. Supervising professor Jenő Kiss.

Beatrix Bíró was awarded a special prize in the Religion and Theology I group. The title of her thesis was "Who am I...?" (Ex 3,11) Moses as a prophet in the light of the so-called "call narratives". Supervising teacher: Kató Szabolcs Ferencz.
