Szabolcs Ferencz Kató receives the Pro Scientia gold medal

The National Scientific Student Society of Hungary has awarded the Pro Scientia gold medal among several other eminent students to Szabolcs Ferencz Kató, student of the Protestant Theological Institute.


The Pro Scientia gold medal originates from 1988. The medal is awarded bianually in 16 scientific research fields to 45 eminent students who have reached exceptional results in one of those subject fields during their university studies. Szabolcs Ferencz Kató has received three times the first prize of the Transilvanian Scientific Student Conference (2011, 2012, 2013) and twice the first prize of the National Scientific Student Conference of Hungary (2010, 2012) for his papers in Humanities, with a specific focus on Old Testament topics. His essays were published in several scientific journals at home and abroad.

The official awards ceremony will be organised on November the 18th, 2013 in the festive hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
